Communion is an important part of our worship together. We welcome people from any Christian church to take communion with us. If you are not quite sure about your faith or are not yet confirmed, you are invited to come for a blessing. Come as you are!
We offer morning Communion services at the following times:
8.00am – A reflective service of Holy Communion without music.
The service follows liturgy from Common Worship, which is provided in an order of service booklet. There is no music, but there is a sermon and space to reflect, pray and meet with Jesus.
The service usually lasts 35-40 minutes.
9.15am – A structured service of Holy Communion with music.
We gather to sing and praise God, to hear his word, and to gather around his table at communion. Music (which is a mixture of traditional and more contemporary hymns and songs) is usually led by a choir accompanied by the organ or a piano. The words are usually projected on a screen. The service follows liturgy from Common Worship, which is provided in an order of service booklet or on the screen.
There are no children’s groups at this service, but children are welcome. The service is relayed to the Grove Room (immediately behind the church) for families who need more space.
Refreshments are served after the service in the Grove Room or the hall, together with the 10.45am congregation.
The service usually lasts 1 hour.
During the week
In addition to Sunday, we hold a service of said Holy Communion every Wednesday at 9.30am. This is followed by light refreshments. You are very welcome to join us.
